Cyber Week

Internet sales jumped 30.3 percent on Cyber Monday, making it the biggest online shopping day ever, according to IBM. Besides the 30.3 percent increase from Cyber Monday of 2011, total online sales were up more than 36 percent from this year's Black Friday. This is just the beginning because some of the larger companies are starting the very first cyber week including Walmart and Best Buy. After the major sales that went down on black Friday and cyber Monday that had sales of more than a billion dollars in sales do we really need a full week to buy more? With our country going through a depression should we be buying things that we really don't need?

  1. I don't think our country is really in a "recession" anymore, as the sales from black Friday and cyber Monday is proof that America has money to spend, although we should probably spend the money else where to better our economy.

  2. No matter what, people are going to spend money on things they don't need. It's human nature. Like John said above, we aren't exactly in a recession anymore, and people are willing to spend money if they want something bad enough.
